Description
When you step out into the plaza before the Kotel, the first thing that strikes you is the crowd. Coming from the quiet streets of the Jewish Quarter, you are carried into a river of voices and faces, and suddenly you are part of something larger. A living, breathing tapestry of devotion.
Men and women, children and elders, dressed in colors of every shade, with skin tones as diverse as the world itself. Yet all are here for the same reason: the Kotel. All share one hope, one prayer, for the well-being of our people, for peace, for life.
These are my people. This is my Israel.
