Description
I chose to paint an image of Kol Nidrei with everyone wearing white to capture the profound spiritual essence of Yom Kippur and its themes of purity, humility, and renewal. The sea of white garments in the synagogue visually represents the collective yearning for atonement, as each individual seeks to cleanse their soul and begin anew. I wanted to convey a sense of unity, where all stand equally before G-d, stripped of earthly distinctions, focused solely on repentance and spiritual elevation. The whiteness envelops the scene with a divine glow, symbolizing hope, purity, and the angelic aspirations of the congregation during this sacred moment.
