Aliya is Golda Koosh’s deeply personal tribute to the moment of arrival in the Holy Land. The word “Aliya” means “ascent” in Hebrew, and it carries both a physical and spiritual meaning: the journey upward to the Land of Israel, and the elevation of the soul that accompanies it. Golda captures this dual meaning through her composition, which draws the eye from the foreground steadily upward toward the golden horizon, creating a visual experience of rising, arriving, and being embraced.
