Description
This is a memory of the city, of light, stone, silence, and the breathing of Jerusalem. It is a path woven from memory and light, through which the viewer moves together with the motion of leaves, the play of shadows, and the quiet conversations of people within the painting. The Jerusalem in this work cannot be found on a map. It is assembled from sensations: evening light, the coolness of stone, descending streets, and human presence within the ancient city. It is an image of returning home.
From the “Light of Jerusalem” series by Golda Koosh.
