In this painting, I wanted to capture the moment when heaven leans close to earth. When Moshe stands atop Mount Sinai, held in the embrace of divine light. Below him, the Israelites watch in awe, their hearts trembling with the weight of what they are witnessing. It is the moment when clarity breaks through the wilderness, when the journey of a wandering nation becomes a covenant.
I painted the light not only as illumination, but as revelation. The kind that reaches the soul before it reaches sight. The people below are small in scale yet immense in spirit, uplifted by the Ten Commandments Moshe raises before them. It is a reminder that our story begins with this light, this voice, this mountain, and that every generation is still standing there, looking upward.
